MY SOUL, FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: - Psalm 103.2

What are all the benefits the Lord has given us? After the end of prayer, it became habit for us to tell this verse but do you know why we are telling these words?

“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”

“Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;”

“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like thet eagle’s.”

“The Lord executeth righteousness and Judgment for all that are oppressed.” – Psalm 103.3-6

The Lord is doing all these 7 things and the Psalmist is telling us not to forget all these benefits.

1. He is forgiving us:

If we read the Old Testament and New Testament in the bible; all the mistakes that we committed are like mountains but those who committed small mistakes in those periods got greater punishments. If we see the life of Ananias and Sapphira, they have kept some money with them that’s it and that is the first and last lie they have told and the lord gave judgment to them and they were immediately dead. But the Lord didn’t give that measure to us. If the Lord kept that measure to us, we might have dead sometimes. But the Lord changed the scale of measure for us through his Grace. The first benefit the Lord done is that he washed away all our inequities throughout this year. We should first thank God for this.

2. He is healing us:

The second benefit of the year is, the Lord is healing our sickness. We are getting many diseases nowadays but the Lord is healing us. His mercy is healing us. Now during this pandemic situation we see many people affected by the virus and dying. But the lord has saved and protected us from the deadly virus and deadly disease by his tender mercy.

3. He is redeeming us from destruction:

The work of the devil is to kill you. The target of the Satan is to destruct us. When Jesus was born, all were waiting to take away the Childs life, but the Lord said Joseph that they were dead.

“Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.” – Matthew 2.20

To keep you alive, the Lord has taken away many people. The third benefit the Lord done to us is redeeming our life from the destruction throughout the year.

4. He is crowning us with his loving kindness and tender mercy:

The fourth benefit is he has given us the immeasurable grace to us wherever we are going and in all the works we are doing.

5. He is satisfying our mouth with good things:

There are many people living under difficulties, not having good food, dress etc,. But it was not like that for us. The lord satisfied our mouth with good things. Whatever we prayed, we received that good thing. The Lord has given everything in the good state for us.

6. He is our youth like an eagle:

This means that the Lord made our anointing a one step forward by making our young life is renewed like an eagle. Still we are active because of our anointing. Now many of the people are suffering from many health problems like if they sit then they are not able stand, and if they stand then they were not able sit, but the is changing our youth like an eagle. We will be living in a dead state, that’s when the Lord will send his words and we will renew our days like eagle.

The life span of an eagle is 70 years. At the age of 40 it will get a renewal. When the time is coming it will go to the peak of the rock and it will remove all the wings because it will be unable to fly faster. It should fall itself or the eagle will make it to fall so that it can run its race for the next 30 years. But it was not like that for us, by every single word of God we are receiving his Grace and we are changed like youth.

7. He is doing justice for you:

The last but not the least is Justice. For the Lord is the God of justice; blessed are those who wait for him. He has not left us at any situation. He has taken an account of every drop of tears and has fought for us because the battle belongs to him alone.

These 7 things are called as all benefits. Whether the Lord done all these things to us in this year? If done, we should be thankful for God. And we should never forget the benefits that the Lord has done to us in this year.
